Misty and strong N.E. East wind until noon, then bright and hot p.m. Abe Elshire came and went on to O’Kreek. Will was sick with pains in stomach and small of back and stayed indoors all day. William went around cattle and went to the store and there was a terrible rain after supper, but George and William went for the mail before the rain and came home after.

George and Hugh put the stacker together. George went for Lattimore’s rake, but he was using it and brought it over later. Ernie and Dick Elshire came for coal-oil. Henry Arcorne came to say Wisenberger is threshing. I baked bread, it was bum, and did the ordinary work.
