1934 May 8th Tuesday

Bright, real hot and cloudy in late p.m. Will, Mr. Kramer and Son Gordon finished digging the well east of John Sundquists about 11 a.m. and after dinner they went home 8 miles S.W. of Valentine. Elmer went around the stock in a.m. and after Will had a rest he and Elmer went to Elmer’s Home and just as they were leaving Mr. Chauncey came in the pick-up. John T. Hansen and Son Donald came to see if they could put 100 head of cattle in pasture but nothing definite yet as they met Will down the river. I went to Kitchen and helped get breakfast and dinner, slept in p.m. and sat out on Front porch late p.m. Josephine did all the work and cleaned the tea-kettle and oil-stove and Mason Jars extra.
