1934 May 6th Sunday

Bright, nice morning, then wind blew and some dust from N.W. and was real warm. With Will’s help we managed this day to [get] eats and Maggie Gehlsen and Mrs. Wm. Chauncey washed dishes at noon and Josephine Armbruster and Will in the eve, for Elmer and Narvin went to Wm Pierce’s and his mother couldn’t come so they went to Armbruster and Carl brought Josephine after supper and she will stay awhile. Narvin did the chores this morning and milked cows and home late p.m. The men worked jig-saw puzzle this a.m. Mr. & Mrs. Wm Chauncey & Dick stopped on way to store. Maggie Gehlsen, Anna Haddock, Swede Olson, Young Rohloff came fishing to river adn the Girls came in to visit. Fred Cramer and son Gordon came to dig well and went back to Valentine to get some well casing and back late eve.
