1934 May 3rd Thursday

Rained in night, foggy, cloudy, misty until towards noon a little brighter and in p.m. clouded and a real rain about 4 p.m. but quit in a little while. I managed to get the meals with Will’s help but he had to count in McKathnie’s and Meeder cattle, then met Ed Haisch of Nilboro also of Tripp Co. with his, and in p.m. Charles Pierce and Orville Hepburn and Ben Clausen helped dehorn our calves. Elmer got in Alabama in forenoon. The men got we before finishing dehorning.
