1934 April 21st Saturday

A Real strong N.W. wind and dusty but early morning was S.W. wind. I felt better to-day but Will feeling bad with a cold so laid down in a.m. and in p.m. he and Elmer went to John Boyds, where they castrated some calves also first went to Claude Allen’s to see Mr. but he not home so went on to Boyds, also to Harry and Louise’s to see how Dorthy Mae’s burns are getting along but she is better. I finished my striped dress all but the buttons and sewed Sophie an apron, she got a meal and mopped kitchen and front-room, all the other work. Paul Meyers walked in from road south of here by School-house as he rode that far with Ed and Lemoyne going to Waltons and when he got here, he and Elmer hauled the sand to fix Chimney and it was so windy that Paul only fixed part of way to get to chimney to build over and he then read magazines.
