April 5, 1934

1934 April 5 Thursday

Bright, N.W. wind and a few clouds late p.m. but sun set bright. I with Sophie’s help colored by brownish-red dress to a black but not a pretty black also washed my hair. Sophie got meals and all the necessary work. Elmer gave the Stock the hay from big stack and he and Will finished cleaning the barn and all the chores. Ben Clausen came and went to John Sundquist’s where he got 60 bushel barley to sow. Joe Clifford, Mrs. George Clifford (Florence), Thelma Garcia and daughter Therese May came of Pine Ridge, S.D. for the night to see about Thelma’s land Lease.
