April 4, 1934

1934 April 4th Wednesday

Cloudy until sun-set bright in west horizon and was misty in a.m. at times. The men chored and fed stock hay from big-stack as usual and went to Pierce’s and got their wagon and pulled it behind Elmer’s car and Will took a few 3 or 4 sacks of cake back to Pierce’s, then they started to clean barn. I worked at my hat again, cut out a shirt-waist dress for myself and slept in p.m. and played solitaire. Sophie got meals and made a lemon-pie for dinner yesterday and to-day we had sour cherries for dinner.
