1934 April 1 Sunday (Easter)
Bright, North wind and warm. Will and Elmer chored and watered Bronchos and Elmer went home horse-back and returned in p.m. Ben Clausen came this a.m. and he and Will visited in p.m. while Sophie and I played solitaire and Rummy. Sophie got meals and all the necessary work and she and I made Fudge before dinner. I had a time to fight sleep this p.m. but managed it and staid up all p.m. As it was Easter, no mass at H. T. [Hidden Timber] Chapel but was yesterday at 9 a.m.
