1934 March 4 Sunday

A strong N.W. wind and dusty but bright most of the day except towards late p.m. was cloudy at times and a few sprinkles of rain fell but didn’t last and all the indications of a stormy night so Will let the cattle in with the calves. Ben Clausen came and Wm Pierce came horse-back so Will took them with him to the store and he went on to Claude Allen’s to see if Mr. would haul corn but he not home. Sophie got meals and cooked a chicken for dinner and we had enough for supper. I wrote letters and slept in p.m. and played solitaire. Sophie had the tooth-ache for had to take aspirins several times this day. I am getting a cold again and had a headache.
