1934, February 16, Thursday

Bright until 9:30 a.m. got real cloudy and cleared again at 12 o’clock mid-day, and bright p.m. Will and Fritz chored and Fritz gave the cattle a load of alfalfa. Will brought in smoked bacon and beef and hung more bacon and 2 hams to smoke and then they went to Joe Hoon’s Sale. Maggie along and I staid home, but the hog into sausage, pork chops and lard and was so tired in eve I hurt all over so tired I could scarcely bend my fingers from gripping a knife. Will got some signatures on petition with Mrs. Carl Anderson’s help.
