February 12, 1934: Lincoln’s Birthday

1934, February 12, Monday

This was bright, warm, 44 above, a little breeze from N.W. Lincoln’s Birthday. I wrote letters and Will mailed them and Fritz came back to work this a.m., on his saddle horse as something went wrong with his Ford. Mr. Lattimore and Tom Whiting got back from Pender, Nebr. at 10:30 p.m. last night. Maggie got meals and all the necessary work and in p.m. sewed on Delores Sell’s dress. In p.m. Fritz and Will went to Neil Kirwin’s land and started to cut up a fallen tree. I rested in p.m. and sewed a little on stocking rug late p.m. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Long and Jimmie stopped and inquired for Will.
