in Misc. Diary Entry

January 5, 1934

1934, January 5, Friday

Was 20 above zero early morning, cloudy awhile, then sun shone brightly and temperature 34 above zero after dinner. I was real sick at stomach in night so had to take milk of magnesia but better to-day, finished one receipt book and played solitaire and worked some at other receipt book. Maggie did all the necessary work and ironed the rest of the clothes. Fritz hauled a load of hay in a.m. from the hills and fed cows & horses some and he and Will put rest on calf feed-rack and in p.m. he got another and they put on big Stack. Will watered calves, made a gate up north.
