October 4, 1922 and 1923

October 4, 1922: A bright warm day and south wind quite strong. Louise and I washed clothes and did the chores and the day was gone. Sherlocks stopped at noon and Floyd brought back traveling bag. Charles Reiser came out on horseback from Spencer and brought Louise some candy. Mr. O. Ernest stopped a few minutes to see Will. Phillip Swift Bear and Family camped over hill, and he and son watered horses and borrowed a rope.

Oct. 4, 1923: A bright day and quite nice. Will went to Spencer and got oil and oiled all hogs in p.m. Lorrie Crabtree brought Will’s jacket home and helped run in a few pigs. I started to can apples but not much force
