1923 Feb. 19th, Monday

Wind started to blow in night and was dusty and blew quite hard all day. I went to town and William came out and gathered a load [of] cobs for Mamma and I washed our clothes at folks as Mamma still in bed. We look for Nell & Fred & family to-day, but not come. My cold is better.

1933 Feb. 19th Sunday

Bright but cold N.W. breeze and quite strong. I got meals and Mrs. Arcorne washed dishes and swept floors and washed baby-clothes in p.m. I also baked pie, cake and fixed chicken and played cards with men in p.m., they chored and Henry & Will went to Elshires where they returned a hen, got knives at Johnsons and left salt at Ben’s.

1943 Feb. 19th Friday

A nice day. Wm Abbott came horseback, they got in some horses to break and worked all day, skinned one old Mare. Elsie, Billy, Sarah Sterling came to finish canning chicken and cleaned the house for week end. I got meals, laid down in p.m., fried doughnuts in p.m. and keep fire to cook 30 qts chicken this day. Marjie came from school, first went home to W.D.’s Abbotts home after supper. Will all in from getting bronchos in barn.

1953 Feb. 19th Thursday

Started to Blizzard last night with wind & snow. Mostly North all this day snow piled up so no feed cattle. Dan gave Bulls & calves grain but no want to eat. Will & I had eats, played Canasta in p.m. and eve. I sewed as Usual. Dan brought Milk, fed chickens.
