Cloudy and cold but thawed [snow] that laid in place in late afternoon; was a Northwest wind and some snow or sleet fell at times in forenoon when Will and I went to Valentine. We had dinner at Bud’s Cafe and got groceries and Will his mower repairs, just a few more to get that wasn’t in stock also the Radio Battery but Model A Battery for Car wasn’t charged yet, these batteries taken to Gamble Store by Will Jan. 16th our Wedding Anniversary when he went in to get his tooth fixed and the mailman said they were mislaid so Gamble clerks didn’t know where they were. We are glad they are located and Wm Van Epps Rug that Elsie bought at Omaha before New Years was at Whiting Store so Wm got it in p.m. He hauled hay and filled feed-rack in bull-pen, put some in his barn and gave cows here.
