1923 Feb. 6th Tuesday

A cold N.W. wind but bright. Will went to Ludwig sale on DeVorak Place near Clouse’s. Mr. Charles Clouse was here yesterday to get his stacker rope and he is feeling [?] after operation for appendicitis at Norfolk. I baked bread and started to sew but don’t feel pert.

1933 Feb. 6th Monday

A strong N.W. wind and snow-storm all day and real cold. The men chored. Will rested and Wm walked for mail in storm and late p.m. they hauled alfalfa to stock and chored before dark. I got meals and sewed and mended clothes.

1943 Feb. 6th Saturday

Was a nice day, sun shone. I got meals, laid down in p.m., swept our room and dusted front-room for Elsie swept up-stairs and down and mopped kitchen. The Van Epps Family went to Claude Van Epps to get a load of Furniture and back for supper, took furniture up to their house after supper. Will Van Epps hauled feed for stock and Will Whitcher and W.D. went in morning to cake the cattle and W.D. cleaned barn in p.m. I baked 3 pies (mince-meat).

1953 Feb. 6th Friday

Bright, nice day. Dan took Sled and went to Sturdevant Land and Badwhirlwind. Billie Abbott came with their Sled so they came with 2 loads New hay for Us and Billie took one home and Dan [was] here in p.m. Will and I cut up hog. He ground Sausage and we put 15 qts. in boxes of Tiller and Box out-side. Will wrapped all the Pork Steak, Pork Chops, Side Meat, Hocks, Roasts and Ribs, put in deep freeze. Billie here for Dinner. Mr., Mrs. & Billie came in eve. We played Samba, Razzle Dazzle and Pitch. Will served Malts. Mrs. No Take any.
