Jan. 25, 1923: We are having little pigs this week

1923 Jan. 25th Thursday

A bright nice day and we were tired from being to Martie Langan Funeral & to see Papa [so] that we did not do much. In forenoon but I started to wash clothes and Will clean[ed] hog-house as we are having little pigs this week. Mr. Severs Jacobson of Bristow came and we spent part of Afternoon making out farm loan.

1933 Jan. 25th Wednesday

Bright, nice day, a strong S.W. Breeze and cool indoors W.J. Brown, Dist. Farmer and Police Larvie here to see about leases. Will is still feeling bad so stays indoors. Wm chored, went to Ben’s to look at cane and ask Ben to Butcher so they butchered a hog in p.m. I got meals and gathered cobs and didn’t feel good at all.

1943 Jan. 25th Monday

A North breeze but quiet still most of day. Sun shone so the washing Will put on line was froze but got dry by turning heavy ones to the sun [so] that dry enough to bring in. Was 28 above in p.m. Besides washing I got meals, laid down in p.m. Will shaved and then He, Henry and Van Epps couldn’t start our car so W.D. took Henry to Mission, he on Mail to St. Francis and home. Will got in and took water, put clothes on line, brought [them] in. W.D. and he worked at Wagner House.

1953 Jan. 25th Sunday

Partly cloudy but no snow. Men gave cattle hay. Mr. and Mrs. Cole came from Ainsworth, Nebr. early forenoon, went home after supper. Mr. Bartleson (Al), Lew, Bus, Betty, Patsy McKee came to get Minnows out of My Creek to fish at Dam North [of] Haukaas School House this eve. We had eats, read, and I cleaned dishes, Will floors.
