January 13, 1923: Papa just sleeps

1923 Jan. 13th Saturday.

Was cloudy fore-part [of] day at times and p.m. bright. Will helped Geo. Knoll haul hogs and had dinner there. I baked bread and made some jell. Billie Knoll came to tell Will haul hogs. On Will’s return we took ducks and chickens to car on track and got 2 Light Brahma Roosters. Papa just sleeps and talks out-of-head when he awakes. Louise has sore tonsils. Dr. Himrod Barney had a sale to-day and is going to Milford Soldiers State Home as a physician. We got a good price for poultry. Old Brockle-face-cow and Red Heifer with Horner had calves. Old cow’s a dandy but heifer lost hers. Sow in hog-house has 6 nice pigs, fat as butter and a couple weeks old.
