A beautiful forenoon but wind got strong from N. W. at noon, and got around to N. E. and quite cold. Louise to school. I had a sore throat, could scarcely speak out loud. Mr. Wheeler, Bill Smith and Fred Menz were here today. Will went to cornfield and got 28 bu., and 12 bu. yesterday and 25 bu. Monday. I ironed clothes, cooked beets and rendered lard.
