A cooler forenoon and p.m. breeze not so hot, bright all day but evening clouded. Mr. and Mrs. Knoll, William and Marjorie stopped on the way home from Whiting Bridge where they went with relatives. We went to orchard, got them Whitney crabs. Ed Wiley brought mower home which he got Saturday. Will got Knolls’ mower and in p.m. we mowed alfalfa and finished late evening, so am very tired. Will hung out lantern as he had to get up twice last night on account of something bothering chicks. It hurt 2 ducks and got chicks.
