Bright but a few clouds in p.m. Wind was quite strong from S.E. later and then around to N.W. I tried to heat water to wash clothes but nothing doing, so didn’t boil them, but washed just the same and dried all. William and George mowed barley. William broke down so he came with mower early p.m. and fixed it, then drove cattle to N.E., got in cows and went to the store for Tobacco. George came home late and milked. Will and Mr. Lattimore went to Kennebec to see about leasing State land for hay and [came] home after supper. Some young men inquired [about the] way to O’Kreek. Menz’s have their grain.
